Dressed for the road
The traveller's shirt, trousers and new boots get another fitting pass, while timber begins to share the world's faceted character.

Today, the work came closer to the traveller. The shirt and trousers received another fitting pass, substantial leather boots joined the outfit, and the face kept its broad planes while the eyes and shadows were refined.
The aim is a character who belongs among Brightsite’s painted blocks: recognisable from the path, with enough shape in the clothes and face to hold up when the camera comes closer.
Clothes with their own shape
The shirt now has longer sleeves and a cleaner join at the back of the neck. Its surface follows the body while keeping a little room of its own, with the folds simplified into the same broad, faceted language as the traveller.
The trousers received more work around the waist, pelvis and ankles. Those are small areas in a wide view, but they matter wherever one layer meets another and when the character begins to move.

These changes refine the existing outfit. Each garment remains equipment the traveller can wear, with the body underneath it, and the fitting work continues alongside the character’s movement.
Boots with some weight to them
The new boots have broad toes, thick soles, straps and buckles. Their shafts overlap the trousers, giving the lower half of the outfit a stronger silhouette.
The fitting keeps that bulk. A boot should read as something worn over a foot and trouser leg, with its own thickness and shape as the ankle bends.

Face work continued at the other end of the character: green eyes, quieter skin shading and steadier shadows beneath the eyes. These are refinements to the same traveller, seen under the game’s own daylight.
Grain, joins and broad planes
The surrounding wood received attention too. Bark and timber gained more visible facets, and their grain continues through larger pieces and connections. The darker timber tint brings built wood closer to the trees it comes from.

A staged timber gallery: stepped roots, a branch connection and cut ends, with the October 16 material treatment.
The review pieces make those joins easy to inspect. They are material studies, with cut ends, branches and connected members put together so the surfaces can be read from several directions.
The clothes and timber are different kinds of work, but both depend on the same close looking: where a surface changes direction, how two pieces meet, and which edges make a shape recognisable. The outfit and materials are still being refined in motion and under changing light.
Archive note: these screenshots were captured on October 21 from the unchanged October 16 evening checkpoint and its own assets. The character views and timber gallery use that build’s existing review tools. They show the historical outfit and material studies, with no later models or surfaces substituted.
